About Us

Greetings. My name is Baba Kontola, and I am the spiritual leader and witch of Nkukwe Temple, a sacred place located near the powerful and ancient Mountain Elgon. This temple is not just a place of worship—it is a center of healing, wisdom, and deep spiritual connection. The land around us is alive with energy, and the mountain is the heart of that power.

I was chosen by the spirits of Mountain Elgon 34 years ago, when I was only 17 years old. At the time, I did not know that my life was about to change. I began to have strong dreams and visions that showed me things beyond this world. I saw the mountain, the spirits, and the path I was meant to follow. It was clear—I had been called. Since that day, I have dedicated my life to serving as the witch and spiritual guide of Nkukwe Temple, helping people find healing, protection, and spiritual answers.

The Origin of Nkukwe Temple

Nkukwe Temple was created many generations ago by elders who understood the sacred energy of Mountain Elgon. They felt the spirit of the land and knew that this was a place where people could come for healing and guidance. They built the temple as a home for the spirits and a safe place for all who seek the wisdom of the mountain.

The word “Nkukwe” means “place of whispers.” This name comes from the quiet, mysterious feeling that surrounds the temple. Many people who visit say they hear whispers in the wind, or feel messages deep in their hearts. That is the mountain speaking. The spirits are always present, listening and watching. They do not shout—they whisper, and those who truly listen will hear.

The mountain is more than a tall piece of land. It is a spirit of its own, and it is home to many smaller spirits that guide and protect us. The temple is their house on earth, and I am their servant.

My Spiritual Journey

My journey began as a boy. I was born with a strong connection to the spirit world. I could feel the emotions of others, see things before they happened, and dream of people I had never met. At first, I did not understand these gifts. But the elders in my village recognized the signs. They brought me to the base of Mountain Elgon, where I had my first true spiritual experience.

That night, I dreamed of the mountain glowing with light. I saw beings of great power standing before me. They spoke with no words, yet I understood everything. They told me I was chosen to become the next witch of the Nkukwe Temple. They showed me the work I would do and the people I would help. I woke up with peace in my heart and a sense of purpose.

From that day forward, I was trained by elders and guided by the spirits themselves. I learned rituals, chants, herbs, and spiritual laws. But most importantly, I learned to listen—to truly hear what the spirits were saying.

Now, decades later, I still follow their voice. Every person who comes to Nkukwe Temple receives care and guidance that comes not from me alone, but from the spirits who speak through me.

The Power of Mountain Elgon

Mountain Elgon is not just a part of the earth. It is a source of power, knowledge, and healing. The spirits that live there are ancient, wise, and powerful. They have helped generations of people and continue to do so today.

When people visit the area around the mountain or step into the temple, they often feel something they cannot explain. Some feel a deep calm. Others feel energy in their bodies. Some cry without knowing why. These are signs that the spirits are reaching out and touching the person’s soul.

Many have come to the temple with heavy hearts and walked away feeling light and new. Some arrive with sickness or bad luck, and after rituals guided by the spirits, their lives begin to change. This is not magic for show—it is real spiritual work, guided by forces that are older than any of us.

We believe the mountain gives us more than just spiritual energy. It gives us rain, healthy crops, protection from danger, and even visions that guide our community. But it must be respected. That is why I live close to it and care for the temple with devotion.

What We Do at Nkukwe Temple

At Nkukwe Temple, we carry out many different spiritual works, depending on the needs of each person. The spirits guide me to know what each visitor needs. No two cases are the same, and no solution is ever rushed. Here are some of the main services we provide:

Healing: Many people come with physical sicknesses that cannot be explained by modern medicine. Some suffer from pain, others from tiredness or spiritual weakness. I work with the spirits and nature’s herbs to find healing for the body and the soul.

Cleansing: Bad energy, curses, and negative spirits can follow a person and cause problems in their life. We do spiritual cleansings using water, smoke, herbs, and chants to remove this dark energy and bring back peace.

Protection: Life is full of danger—not just physical, but spiritual. Some people are attacked by hidden enemies, jealous people, or bad spirits. We make protective charms, perform protection rituals, and offer prayers to guard you and your loved ones.

Guidance: Some people feel lost in life. They do not know what step to take next, or they are facing a hard decision. Through readings, visions, and connection to the spirits, I offer them the guidance they seek.

Blessings: We bless new homes, babies, marriages, and businesses. A strong blessing from the spirits can help anything grow strong and remain protected from harm.

Connection to Ancestors: Many people have questions for their ancestors or feel disconnected from their roots. I help them make contact, ask questions, or receive blessings from their family spirits who have passed on.

Each of these services is guided completely by the spirits. I do not claim to have personal power. Everything I do is done with the help of the beings who chose me to walk this path. I only speak what they tell me, and I only act when they give the sign.

Final Words

Nkukwe Temple is not just a physical place—it is a doorway between the world of the living and the world of spirits. The work done here is not for fame or money. It is sacred work, guided by tradition, respect, and deep belief in the unseen world.

I, Baba Kontola, do not seek praise. I am only a vessel. The true power belongs to the spirits of Mountain Elgon. They chose me, they guide me, and they protect me as I help those who come in search of hope, healing, and light.

If you feel drawn to this place, or if your spirit is restless, it may be the mountain calling you. Listen to that voice. The spirits are always ready to help—if you come with respect.
